Hey ... c'est moi!
And for those of you who may have already guessed, this is Winn the Canuck who is soon to meet her Louisianna friends in Toulouse, France.
Today, our weather was stunningly beautiful in Ottawa and rather than stay inside and do what others normally do before they leave for an extended holiday abroad; I did some gardening.
By now most of my packing has been completed but I'm still searching for my tripod; wouldn't you know that it's a new one and has hardly ever been used. There are only a few places in this old house where it could be and by now I've looked in every one of them. In the meantime I've packed John's but it's alot heavier than my new one.
I must return to my packing as I'm still not too sure where I'll find the space for another pair of shoes, the travel books, etc.
The notes have been written for my cousin Bob and his wife Lynn who will be housesitting and surely I've forgotten to share something with them.
I continue to think about the grape stomping, arriving in the little town of Mirepoix where we'll spend our first few nights (http://www.auberge-du-balestie.com/?gclid=CN2Rgdeiv44CFRcbWAodomeKTA) mingling and tasting interesting foodstuffs at various markets and the list just goes on and on.
I'm absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity to visit France with Pat and Judy and know that we'll have a most wonderful time together.
Safe travels everyone .... Winn
